In April this campground is popular among birders, with many campers putting out hummingbird feeders. On the way back to Tucson from Portal, we stopped at the post office and spotted: Inca Dove, Western Tanager, and a Summer Tanager. We drove uphill westward to Paradise and visited the historic George Walker House with feeders at the owners adjacent home.
