White-winged Dove
The White-winged Dove is common in the southern United States, breeding during the summer months in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, and wintering along the northern and southern shores of the Gulf of Mexico. They are grey, with a square tail, white on both wings, seen here sitting, but also visible in flight. They have orange eyes with a blue eye-ring. These images were captured in Portal, Arizona, in late April of 2016.
